I started out working for the NME, shooting local rock groups. I then did shoots for record companies . In my twenties I progressed to reportage and portraits; shooting for Cosmopolitan, She and Elle. I did some work for The Observer and The Sunday Times. I had exhibitions in Paris and Chartres during my many years in France. I had a b/w travel exhibition with archival prints in 2000 'Snap Decisions' in Exmouth Market.

These framed prints are for sale at £250 each.

I'm hoping to have an exhibition of some of my rock stuff of Madness, The Specials, Kirsty Macoll, Sid Vicious, Morrissey to mention a few, when I get time.

My influences in photography are traditional: Cartier Bresson for reportage, Richard Avedon for studio work. I was reluctant to switch to digital but now rarely shoot analogue. I love black and white and think you can't achieve the same gritty and grainy quality on digital when it comes to prints.

I was always passionate about food, spending most of my income on it. I gradually found myself cooking professionally for various cafés and at festivals. In January 2009, a few months after starting my food blog, I launched one of the first UK supperclubs 'The Underground Restaurant' which was an immediate success.

I now mostly shoot food and travel.

In 2011 I was named as one of London's 1000 most influential people by the Evening Standard.

In 2013 I won the Guild of Food Writers best food blog of the year.

In 2014 I won the Fortnum and Mason best online food writer of the year.
